"INTRODUCTION TO MFR - Ideal for the newly licensed massage practitioner or health care professional, as well as the seasoned practitioner. Myofascial Release is amazingly effective and will complement and expand any practice.

​This class provides
  • An overview of the bio/physiological phenomenon that is the fascia. Practitioners will learn foundational Myofascial Release techniques, client assessment, and more.
  • Class includes both lecture and lab portions. Handout material will be made available.
  • Includes a film by renowned French surgeon, Dr. JC Guimberteau, which shows incredible views of living fascia.​

THORACIC/CERVICAL SPINE - Building on the foundations Intro to Myofascial Release

​This class provides
  • Learn assessment techniques both postural and through palpitation.
  • Emphasis on communication with the client. The level of success greatly depends on a good relationship with clients.
  • Neck and shoulder complaints will be a focus as well as the jaw addressing TMJ and chronic holding patterns.
  • Special emphasis will be placed on assessment.

"This two day workshop instructs basic principles and practices of Myofascial Release therapy, which is based on the understanding that fascial restriction is an underlying component of all physical pain. The participants will have a understanding of the function of fascial and its role in chronic pain. The focus is on identification of fascial restriction through visual assessment and palpitation.

Participants are instructed in basic foundational Myofascial Release therapeutic techniques, including the awareness of subtle changes in fascial tissue during treatment. There will be both a lecture and lab portions. The hands-on lab will focus on instructing and practicing proper technique and body mechanics."

Lower Body Myofascial Release:
March 25-26, 2023

LUMBAR SPINE & PELVIS - Balancing the pelvis is an essential principle in myofascial release therapy

This class provides
  • Pelvic assessment will be explored as torsion and misalignment are common and widely varied in presentation and symptoms. 
  • Pelvic interfacing muscle groups will be discussed in lecture and demonstration.
  • Techniques for treating low back muscle and bone groups, as well as the sacrum, coccyx, hip flexors and psoas, are included.
  • Special emphasis will be placed on assessment.
